telling the stories of Luang Prabang

Every evening (6.30-7.30pm), at our intimate theatre in the heart of Luang Prabang’s old town (click here for map), we present an English-language selection of traditional Lao stories. The tales – accompanied by khene, a handmade bamboo mouth organ – recount the origins of such local landmarks as Mount Phusi and the Mekong, as well as the exploits of such legendary characters as Xieng Mieng and Chao Fa Ngum. Tickets cost $5 and can be bought at the theatre from 6pm. A selection of drinks can be purchased inside.
